How To Connect Canon 60D To WiFi
As we said earlier there is no built-in WiFi on the Canon EOS 60D but there are some workarounds if you really need to have some sort of WiFi capability on your 60D.
The method of doing this is to use a WiFi adapter for your Canon 60D and there are different types of WiFi adapters that you can use.
Third-Party WiFi Adapters
You can use brands such as CamRanger which have WiFi adapters that work with many DSLRs from different brands.
The CamRanger, CamRanger Mini and CamRanger 2 are all WiFi adapters that work with the Canon 60D.
You simply plug the CamRanger into the USB port on your 60D and the CamRanger will create its own WiFi connection which you can use to connect to your phone or computer.

There are also other similar brands online that provide a similar product. One example is CamFi.
Canon’s Own WiFi Adapters
The Canon W-E1 adapter is an SD card WiFi adapter.
You might have seen online that you can use the Canon W-E1 to enable WiFi on the 60D but this is not true.
We did some research and the Canon W-E1 adapter is only listed as being compatible with the following Canon cameras:
- EOS 7D Mark II
- EOS 5DS
- EOS 5DS R
As you can see the 60D is not listed as being compatible with the Canon W-E1 adapter.
SD Card WiFi Adapters like Eye-Fi
You can purchase SD card WiFi adapters which are sometimes called Eye-Fi cards. Eye-Fi is a brand that has created SD cards that can be used to communicate wirelessly.
These Eye-Fi cards are pretty slow and the company also went out of business in 2016, so you might struggle to get one of these.
Although that’s not really a bad thing because they are notoriously slow, so they are not really worth using anyways.
Conclusion
You should now know that the Canon EOS 60D does not have built-in WiFi capabilities but there are some workarounds and alternative cameras that do have built-in WiFi.
