The WiFi function on the Canon EOS 70D is very useful for various things. 

However, by leaving the WiFi function on, it can interfere with other functionalities. 

Here are 7 scenarios where leaving the WiFi function on will stop you from doing other things with the camera.

  • You will be unable to use multiple exposure shooting.
  • You will be unable to shoot movies.
  • You will be unable to apply creative filters in your camera.
  • You will be unable to use ‘direct printing’ by using an interface cable. 
  • Image transfer with an ‘Eye-fi’ card is not possible.
  • You cannot transfer files to a computer with a usb cable.

To get around these above issues you need to turn WiFi off on the Canon EOS 70D.

Here is how to disable Wi-Fi on the Canon 70D:

  1. Navigate to setup menu 3. This is the third of the yellow wrench tabs on your menu.
  1. Select ‘WiFi’.
