Can I Use My Canon EOS Rebel T7 As A Webcam?

Yes. All you need is the correct USB cable, the correct software and a compatible application.

This post will guide you through each of the above.

How Do I Use My Canon EOS Rebel T7 as a Webcam

To use your Canon Rebel T7 as a webcam you will need to:

  1. Have the right USB cable – IFC-400PCU USB cable
  2. Have the Canon EOS Webcam Utility software
  3. Have a compatible application to use such as Zoom, Skype or Microsoft Teams.

We guide you through each of the above requirements so you have everything you need to achieve high quality video by using your Canon EOS Rebel T7 as a webcam without a capture card.

On other cameras you can use a capture card and a clean HDMI output to get a Full HD or 4K webcam feed, but the Canon EOS Rebel T7 doesn’t have a clean HDMI output.

What USB Cable Do I Need to Use My Canon EOS Rebel T7 as a Webcam?

To use your Rebel T7 as a webcam you will need a IFC-400PCU USB cable.

Unfortunately when you buy a Canon Rebel T7 you will not have the USB cable supplied with the camera, so you will have to buy it yourself.

There are replacement cables on Amazon like the two examples below. Either would work fine.
